DONKEYS, VILLAGES, OLIVE & CAROB

This day we will devote ourselves to acquaintance with the traditional village life in Cyprus and the main activities of residents. But first, we will go to an authentic farm, where cute donkeys live! There we will meet with the inhabitants of the farm and, if desired, a horseback riding on a donkey (for an additional fee).

Next, we will go to the village of Lania. It is here that we get an idea of what traditional Cypriot architecture is: narrow streets, houses with tiled roofs, courtyards buried in flowers and greenery – all this will not leave anyone indifferent! Amazing landscapes around have a romantic mood and awaken the hidden artistic talents that the locals pretty much possess.

There you will have time for lunch in a traditional tavern (lunch is not included in the price).

Having a rest, we will go to the olive park Oleastro. There we dive into the centuries-old history of olive oil production. We will taste ecologically clean extra virgin olive oil and watch a popular science film. For children, there is a playground and a mini zoo. Tickets are included.

Then we will visit the museum of “black gold” of Cyprus – the Carob Museum. We learn a lot of interesting things related to this valuable, environmentally friendly sweetness. We also see the process of making natural carob iris, known as “pastels.”
